1.Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Aura website at aurahealth.life, the Aura mobile application, and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Aura Health and Wellness Private Limited (“Aura”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Aura.
Please read these Terms carefully. They include important information about your rights, Aura’s role, and the limits of what Aura provides.
2.About Aura
Aura is a personal health companion designed to help you:
- Understand your health information
- Organize your health records
- Manage prescriptions and health documents
- Set medicine and health reminders
- Keep your important health information accessible
- Access AI-powered explanations and context to help you navigate your health
Aura helps you understand, organize and manage your health information. It does not replace doctors, physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, emergency services or other qualified healthcare professionals.
3.Medical Disclaimer
Aura is your companion, not a replacement for your doctor.
- Aura is not a medical professional and does not provide medical advice.
- Aura does not provide a medical diagnosis.
- Aura does not prescribe treatment or medication.
- Aura does not independently make clinical decisions.
- Information generated by Aura, including AI-generated information, is for general understanding and should not replace professional medical advice.
- You should consult a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis, treatment and medication decisions.
Do not delay or avoid seeking professional medical care because of information provided through Aura.
4.Emergency Disclaimer
Aura is not an emergency medical service and is not designed for emergencies.
If you believe you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention or contact your local emergency service right away. Do not rely on Aura for emergency monitoring, alerts or intervention.
5.AI-Generated Information
Aura uses artificial intelligence to provide certain features. AI may be used for:
- Interpreting documents
- Explaining health information
- Generating summaries
- Creating reminders
- Providing contextual information
- Other features you request
AI-generated information can contain errors or omissions and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Aura does not guarantee its accuracy and does not promise error-free results or guaranteed medical outcomes. You remain responsible for verifying important medical information with a qualified healthcare professional before acting on it.
6.Eligibility
Aura is currently intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. By using Aura, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
7.Your Account
To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Maintain the security of your account and device
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or use
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to maintain reasonable security.
8.Your Health Information
You may choose to upload or provide health information, such as prescriptions, medical and lab reports, diagnoses, medicines, symptoms, health measurements, notes and other health information.
You retain your rights in your information, subject to applicable law. How we collect, process, store, share, retain and delete your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9.Document Interpretation
Aura may process documents you upload — including prescriptions, reports, images and PDFs — using automated technologies, including AI. Interpretation may contain errors due to factors such as:
- Image or scan quality
- Handwriting
- Missing or incomplete information
- Ambiguous terminology
- Extraction / OCR limitations
- Limitations of AI
Always verify important medical information with your doctor or pharmacist before acting on it.
10.Reminders
Aura may offer medication, appointment and other health reminders. Reminders are provided for convenience only. Aura does not guarantee their delivery, timing or visibility, which may depend on your device, settings, network and third-party services. You remain responsible for following your healthcare professional’s instructions.
11.No Guarantee of Medical Outcomes
Aura does not guarantee any diagnosis, prevention, recovery, treatment outcome, improvement in health, or any particular medical result. Aura is a tool to help you understand and organize your health information, not to deliver medical outcomes.
12.Free Service
Aura is currently free to use. We currently do not charge users for the core Service.
We may introduce paid services, subscriptions or premium features in the future. If we do, we will show you the applicable pricing and terms before you are charged. Nothing in these Terms requires you to pay for the current Service.
13.Privacy and Consent
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these Terms.
Aura does not sell your personal health information. We will not use your personal health or medical information for sales, marketing or research without the consent or other lawful basis required under applicable law. Where you authorize sharing with doctors, caregivers or others, that sharing is governed by the applicable permissions and consent.
15.Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers to operate the Service, which may include providers for cloud infrastructure, authentication, security, notifications, AI processing, document processing and customer support. These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services except as required by applicable law.
16.Your Content and Intellectual Property
You retain your rights in the information and content you provide to Aura. By using the Service, you grant us the limited permissions necessary to store, process and secure your content, and to provide the functionality and outputs you request.
Uploading a medical record or other content does not transfer ownership of that record or content to Aura.
17.Aura Intellectual Property
The Aura name, logo, website, mobile application, software, design, interface, technology and content are owned by or licensed to Aura Health and Wellness Private Limited and are protected by applicable laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not:
- Copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service
- Reverse engineer or extract source code
- Circumvent or interfere with security controls
- Scrape or harvest data from the Service
- Misuse Aura’s trademarks or branding
- Use Aura’s protected materials to build an unauthorized competing service
18.Prohibited Use
You agree not to use Aura:
- For any unlawful purpose
- To impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- To upload fraudulent or falsified medical documents
- To introduce malware or malicious code
- To gain unauthorized access to any system or account
- To interfere with, disrupt or overload the Service
- To violate another person’s privacy or rights
- To abuse, harass or harm others
- To circumvent security or access controls
19.Service Availability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, security incidents, infrastructure or internet failures, third-party outages, force majeure, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
20.Changes to the Service
We may modify, improve, add, suspend or remove features of the Service from time to time in order to operate and improve Aura. This section concerns our ability to operate and change the Service, and does not describe future plans or commitments.
21.Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account where:
- You materially violate these Terms;
- There is fraudulent, abusive or harmful activity;
- Your account creates a security risk;
- Continued use would violate applicable law;
- We are required to do so by law; or
- We otherwise have a legitimate basis to restrict access.
Where appropriate and required by law, we will provide notice. You may stop using Aura and close your account at any time.
22.Discontinuation of the Aura Service
Separately from any action on an individual account, we may need to suspend or discontinue the Service, or significant parts of it. This may happen for business, legal or regulatory, security, operational or other reasons, or due to circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice.
Discontinuation of the Service is different from suspension or termination of an individual account, which is described in Section 21.
23.Data After Account Closure
After your account is closed, your information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will delete or anonymize information where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, regulatory, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes, for as long as reasonably necessary.
24.Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be continuously available, complete, accurate (including AI-generated information), error-free, or suitable for every individual or purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or protections you have that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
25.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aura and its directors, employees and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to the foregoing, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will be limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian law.
26.Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aura Health and Wellness Private Limited and its directors, employees and service providers from claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising out of your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the rights of any third party.
27.Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws that provide otherwise, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
28.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice where required by applicable law and update the “Last Updated” date shown above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
